About Yellow Boat of Hope Indonesia
We are committed to helping underprivilege kids at remote areas, find their place.
The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation Indonesia (Yayasan Perahu Kuning Harapan) is a non-profit organization that aims to provide access to education for children in remote and poverty-stricken areas by providing boats to reach their schools. Began as School Boat Indonesia in 2015 when Meralda (co-founder) learned about the struggles of children in a coastal community in the Kerora Village, Rinca Island who had to separate with their families to get closer to the high school.
In June 2023, School Boat Indonesia achieved a significant milestone by officially becoming a registered foundation and an official chapter of the Yellow Boat of Hope organization in the Philippines.
